[-empyre-] admin drone - your opinion on the format?

the -empyre- list started as an experiment in this format - with an invited
guest for part of the month, and then down time for two weeks. sort of
a regular sine wave of activity over each month, the idea being to
promote a more relaxed time frame for considered responses to the guests and
their topics, and to each other. its been 5 .5 weeks since our first guest
Ollivier Dyens sent out his opening statement, and now in the general
schedule of the guests, would be the time that a new guest would have
already appeared to introduce a new topic.

before we go on with the next guest i wanted to ask the list,  how you as
list members, respond to this rhythm? im also well aware that guests have
private lives and sometimes wont be able to turn up on schedule, as well as
often events will be happening and  id like to invite a guest or guests in
on short notice, or for shorter periods of time.

an alternative is to occasionally have two new guest spots  each month, so
there is a
more frequently changing topic. the disadvantage i see  with more guests is
that we are all very busy and its demanding to have new material to digest
in the inbox, however the advantage is that it perhaps encourages a more
constantly random list dynamic.

im considering lots of options... and id appreciate your feedback.
also as many people have joined in the last month , or if you missed out
first time, now is a good space to send intros before the next guests arrive
on 1 March....
